This is new, all-seeing, and tireless "automatic photographer" from Sony released in September, the "Party-shot" IPT-DS1 camera dock ($150).
Compatible with "nearly" any tripod but only a couple of Sony Cyber-shot cameras—the DSC-WX1 and the DSC-TX1—the Party-shot can swivel a full 360 degrees or tilt 24 degrees, all the better to scan the room for hapless partygoers.
The device is endowed with face-detection and Sony's "Smile Shutter" technology, which automatically hones in on faces in the crowd and snaps away when it detects a grin.
Even the hardiest partiers will have a tough time wearing out the AA battery-powered Party-shot, which can aim and snap for up to 11 hours (according to Sony, anyway) before running out of juice.
I wanna share ~Well, this gadget just save most of the partiers who get drunk and too dizzy for them to hold the camera. Anyway this is not good news for those of us who don't like having our pics taken. I guess I better not show up for the party then. Seriously though this sounds like a good camera.
